TENUTA DI CASTELLARO MARSILI 750 ml

This fresh sparkling ("Pet Nat") is made in the ancestral method, meaning the wine is bottled young while there is unfermented juice still remaining in the wine. While in the bottle, it further ferments, resulting in a lightly sparkling wine, and perhaps a little sediment. Marsili is 100% Pinot Noir, organically farmed and from the tiny Aeolian Island just north of Sicily. It is named after a nearby underwater volcano (active!) known for its delicate and vulnerable nature. A rare gem, with less than 3,000 bottles produced and found rarely outside Italy.
