As a fifth-generation Napa Valley winemaker, Joe's roots run deep in these rich soils. At 19 he started working alongside his father at Caymus Vineyards. Then, in 2001, created Belle Glos, with a focus on vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs from California's best coastal regions. His love for Napa wine and the singular fusion of natural elements, history, and spirit found in the Napa Valley are the foundation for Quilt.

For the Napa Valley Quilt Fabric of the Land Red Wine, they worked with grapes representing the diversity of varietals cultivated in the Napa Valley AVA. They source Petite Sirah, Merlot, Zinfandel and Petit Verdot grapes from a spectrum of Napa Valley proper, from Oak Knoll in the South to Calistoga in the North. The result of blending these diverse varietals and regions yields wines of the extraordinary concentration of flavour, colour and texture.
