The 2019 Prunotto Mompertone is a blend of 60% Barbera and 40% Syrah, showcasing a deep ruby red hue with purple reflections. The nose is expressive, offering aromas of cherries, forest floor, spices, vanilla, and cocoa. On the palate, the wine is rich and velvety, with a persistent and harmonious profile. Supple, elegant tannins provide structure, while the balanced acidity ensures freshness. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for approximately 12 months, enhancing its complexity and depth.
