Wine Description

In the glass, the Prazo de Roriz 2018 presents a deep purple hue. The aromatic profile is rich and expressive, featuring notes of raspberry, black currant, blackberry, black cherry, black olive, and rosehip. On the palate, it is dry and full-bodied, with medium acidity and ripe, medium-plus tannins. Flavours mirror the nose, culminating in a medium-plus, raspberry-infused finish. The wine is complex and brooding, yet maintains a sense of freshness and vibrancy. It is crafted from a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties, including Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca, and is aged for four to five months in French oak barrels to enhance its structure without overshadowing the fruit.
