Olivier Leflaive is the 3rd generation winemaker making wine in both the Cotes de Beaune and Cotes de Nuit. Made from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Charmots Premier Cru vineyard of Pommard, this wine is aged in oak barrels for 16 months. On the nose, the wine displays aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, and violet, with hints of vanilla and smoke. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of dark fruit and a subtle earthiness, with silky tannins and a long, lingering finish.
