In 1973, the Plouzeau family acquired this property near Richelieu, named after the notorious 16th and 17th-century French cardinal turned statesman, who built the town. Certified biodynamic, they practice minimal intervention meaning using native yeast, little sulphur, and no filtration. Effusively floral with red peppers and high-toned fruit, this is a very well-made straightforward, pure example of Cabernet Franc.
