Description:
During a visit to Islay, David Perkins enjoyed a breakfast at a B&B near Bruichladdich, which included a delicious syrup made from sugar and peated whisky poured over honeydew melon. Taking this experience back to America, he set about blending sweet bourbon from Lawrenceburg with peaty Islay single malt, with some spicy Rye for good measure!
High West Campfire is the world’s finest blend of scotch, bourbon and rye whiskeys. A very unusual, distinctive, yet delicious whiskey. Campfire reveals a complex nose of floral, fruity, bright and spicy, caramel, butterscotch, light smoke and smoldering wood from a campfire the morning after, jasmine, chai tea, sandalwood, leather, tobacco, pine resin, and toasted bread. The palate is outstanding, with flavours of vanilla, honey, toffee with some nice fruit, blueberries and black cherries, chai spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, orange zest, salty caramels, tobacco, and gentle smoke!
